Who needs Guitar Hero when you have a Ukulele?

South Park last night was about Guitar Hero. The scene below takes place at a Party in Denver.

Denver celebrities.

  • Ron Zappolo is actually a anchor for the Fox 31 station. He was a sports anchor on channel four before he accepted an anchor position at Fox.
  • Jake Jabs is the owner of American Furniture Warehouse. Television commercials for American Furniture warehouse often feature wild animals like tigers and lions.
  • Tom Shane owns The Shane Company a diamond company.
  • Jay Cutler plays quarterback for the Denver Broncos. He not to be confused with the Jay Cutler body builder.

BR Update: 10/24 Slowly I turn...

Slowly, I turn...

I've been playing mostly 0.25/0.50 LHE games and bring $10 to the table. It's probably about 7.5% of my bank roll on the table, but with Limit, you can play the odds better. It's taking me a while to build up my bank roll on because of it being limit, but it better prepares me for games up in Black hawk.

Live
I went up to Black hawk Colorado a few weeks ago, I still have about 140 dollars left in my bankroll. I played at the Golden Gates Casino and the Lodge Casino. I was up 80 when I left Golden Gates and down 80 when I left the Lodge. I came out even.

One of the things I remember from rethinking the Chris Ferguson Experience, is that when you are managing your bankroll, leave when you are ahead so you don't risk more than 10% of your bankroll. For example, if you have a $100 bankroll and bring in for $5, you should leave when you table stack is about $10. Then you can bring into another game for $5 and protect your bankroll. It's hard to do this playing live with $140 bankroll. But I think my next strategy when I go up there is to bring in for 70 or so to a table and leave when my table stack is a little over 100 and try to find another game. Also, I should probably play 2/4 LHE instead of the 2-5 spread limit games.

BR Update:: Fighting my way back.

I'm slowing fighting my way back up. I was down to less than $20 on FTP, and I was even looking at recharging my account there. I missed all of my bonus money on FTP because it's hard to get any points when you are playing such low limits.

I've done well on Pokerstars, I've been consistent there and slowing moving up.

My current online poker plan is to be patient, play tight limit games to slow move up and to play low no limit games once in a while. I haven't had the time for tournaments, but I'll play in the Pokerstars Blog tournament next week.

Bank roll update (up and down)

I got very impatient and I was very frustrated with my play on FTP. I couldn't win any races and if I had the best on the flop, by the river I was beat. My bankroll on FTP was down to under 30 dollars, when I decided to stop playing there for a while. In fact, I was looking at my reload options.

I switched over to Pokerstars for a while and started working on my bank roll there. I was successful there and increased my bankroll there.

Then, I got an offer from FTP for $50 bonus. I looked as that as an offer to improve my game. I started to work off my bonus there. I think at my lowest point I was down to about 20 dollars and freaking out. But I got very patient and waited for cards and opportunities to bluff. I'm up to over $80 on 5/10 cent NLHE and 25/50 cent LHE. Once I get over 100 I'm going to try a higher limit.

I tried looking for a 24+2 tournament to used my tokens, but the only cash game was a 180 person buy in.

A rush and a push and ur chips are us..

Rush

Earlier this week, I was getting disgusted with playing poker online. My bank roll was approaching $80 dollars on FTP. I was getting drawn out and I just wasn't playing good. I then took a shot at higher limits so I started playing limits (NLHE and LHE) with buy ins of 20 or 40 dollars. I started to produce and my bankroll got better.

What I learned.

  • It's good to win. You can play correctly, but it sucks to suck out.
  • Patience.
  • Start tight and vary later.
  • Some of the lower limits are tougher because the players are less skillful.
  • Sometimes you want to play where the money means something.

Pokerstars: $183.05

No patience and no poker tracker: 4/17

Bank roll update.

I tookquite a hit and so I've move down in limits to $0..05/$0.10 NLHE on FTP. I've also started playing some free rolls tournaments. I started playing some $10 Guarantees tournaments when my account is over $200. I also like the 300FTP tournament for a $75 satellite token. Too bad there is only one a night.

I need to get a new license for my poker tracker software for my new computer. When my computer crashed, I forgot to renew my license key with the new computer id. I think that stopped me from really looking at my game and playing as tight as I should.
